Making Ingredients Smarter

PXL8 transforms complex liquid ingredients into high-performance, shelf-stable powders.

Using our patent-pending technology platform, we encapsulate nature's most potent ingredients, converting liquids into free-flowing, shelf-stable powders that are easier to store, ship, measure, and integrate across food, wellness, and pharmaceutical products.

Our powders are engineered for performance, offering precise control over ingredient behavior — including fast and slow release for tailored flavor and nutrient effects — along with flavor masking, color control, and extended shelf life.

The Problem with Powders

Many valuable liquid ingredients are fragile or volatile — susceptible to rapid shrinkage and decay — which raises their cost due to expensive handling and packaging.

They’re also nearly impossible to mix into convenient consumer products like ready-to-pour drink powders, baking mixes, chewing gums, oral pouches, and more.

Plenty of liquid ingredients can be powderized — but the standard process is wasteful and toxic. Ingredients are blasted with heat, solvents, and loaded with maltodextrin: a high-glycemic filler that’s worse than table sugar.

“Malto” is everywhere — from average snacks to “pure” baby foods and “low-carb” protein powders — secretly sapping insulin and wrecking the gut microbiome.

This legacy powderization process (spray-drying) wastes up to 30% of the liquid ingredient, all while undermining product quality and shelf-life.

PXL8 Powders replaces this outdated processes with something cleaner, more precise, and genuinely fit for purpose.

A Smarter Way to Powderize

Our platform technology offers multiple benefits:

  • The Process: no solvents, no heat, no water — and no product loss.

  • The Product: your liquid ingredient + a healthy natural mineral — not sugar.

  • The Results: Longer shelf life, better nutrient absorption, and radically improved costs and environmental footprint.

Solutions Built from Real-World Research

A woman sitting at a table with a microphone, speaking during a panel discussion. Behind her, a large screen displays the panel title 'Startup Best Practices and Insights' with photos and names of five panelists, including Daniel Jones as moderator, Lauren LoBue, Tom Chepucavage, Monica Odell, and Tracy Kliphuis. The setting appears to be an indoor event space with large windows.

Founded in 2024, PXL8 emerged from pharmaceutical research by Dr. Monica Odell, Co-Founder and Chief Science Officer. After years of consulting across the ingredient and drug-delivery space, she saw the same problems repeated — heat degradation, chemical fillers, wasted potency — and set out to build a cleaner alternative from the ground up.

Built to execute. Designed to scale.

PXL8’s leadership team combines pharmaceutical science, international business development, operations, and commercialization — with a foundation of trust and long-standing collaboration that significantly reduces execution risk for an early-stage company.
